How To Use OnePlus Phones With Zen Mode 2.0 Easily

Use Zen Mode 2.0 on OnePlus Phones

The Zen Mode 2.0 – an update to OnePlus’ Zen Mode that allows users to disconnect from their devices – is one of my favorite OxygenOS 11 features. While OnePlus is currently bringing out OxygenOS 11 to its older phones, you can get your hands on Zen Mode 2.0 by updating the app from the Play Store.

How To Use Zen Mode 2.0 On OnePlus Phones

In this post, we’ll explore the new Zen Mode 2.0 and how you may use the app to disconnect and focus on your job rather than allowing your phone to distract you during critical real-world circumstances. With that said, let us begin.

What Is The Zen Mode 2.0 And How To Access Zen Mode 2.0?

OnePlus’ Zen Mode is the company’s approach to digital wellbeing. Along with OxygenOS 11, the company updated Zen mode with additional features. Zen Mode 2.0 is available on the Play Store for the OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus 7 and 7T series, OnePlus 6 and 6T, OnePlus 5 and 5T, OnePlus Nord, etc. Well, Pull down the notification shade and tap on the Zen Mode tile after it’s installed. If you cannot view it, tap on the pencil icon and drag it to an accessible area. I’d keep it on the first page for ease of access.

Features Of Zen Mode 2.0

1 – Updated UI

2 – Increased Time Duration Settings

3 – White Noise Tones

4 – Group Zen Mode

Updated UI

OnePlus completely redesigned Zen Mode in version 2.0. As a result, five themes are available, including Ocean, Space, Grassland, Sunrise, and Meditation. As the name implies, themes are based on these notions and will play in the background while you are in Zen mode. For example, consider the following themes shown in the image gallery below:

Increased Time Duration Settings

OnePlus gave a default duration of 20 minutes for Zen Mode and subsequently added the time to customize the duration to 30, 40, or 60 minutes. Zen Mode 2.0 adds new duration options of 1 minute, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes. So on Zen Mode 2.0, the duration may be set to 1 minute, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes. Well, Tap on the timer on Zen Mode’s home page and select an appropriate duration.

White Noise Tones

Well, To add white noise tones to Zen Mode 2.0, OnePlus teamed up with the sleep sounds and meditation app Tide makers. Zen Mode 2.0.1.0 acquired five new theme sounds due to this collaboration: Jellyfishes, Light-Years, Country Mornings, Meditation, and Sunrise. These sounds correspond to the app’s five themes. You may activate the sound by tapping on the music sign in the app’s upper right corner.

If you’re not in the mood for background music, you can turn it off, even if you’re in a Zen mode session. To turn off ambient sound, tap on the music sign on the screen. You can tap it again later if you choose to re-enable the sound.

Group Zen Mode

Finally, we offer Group Zen mode – a feature that enables you to disconnect from your phone while spending time with your friends and family. To access group Zen mode, tap on the multi-user symbol on the main page. Here, you may create a room or join one already made.

After that, you may customize the session’s duration and invite guests by sharing your room code. While OnePlus makes strong statements about any smartphone user being able to join the group session, this is not the case. It may be in development, and OnePlus may include it in the future. However, you’re limited to other OnePlus phones for the time being.

Disconnect From Your OnePlus Phone Using Zen Mode 2.0

The list of new features is included in Zen Mode 2.0 by OnePlus. Two older features worth noticing are daily reminders to switch on Zen mode at a specific time and smartphone use reminders after 2, 3, 4, or 5 hours of continuous use. Both of these features are accessible through the app’s Zen mode settings. We hope that this feature walk-through has helped you better understand Zen mode. Before you test it out, leave a comment with your favorite Zen mode 2.0 feature.
